I think both are great lenses – and people do not buy either of them for sharpness, but the mentioned “character” and the compact size. The cron is pin sharp at the center from f2 all the way to f8, whereas the voigtlander didn’t really perform that well between f1.4-f4, not until f5.6 that it starts to clean up and show comparable performance.
